“We are sea salt farmers, crafting solar-evaporated, mineral-rich sea salt in one of the most beautiful places on earth: San Juan Island, WA. Unlike many artisan salt makers who boil seawater to evaporate it, we rely solely on sunshine; no fans, no heaters, no shortcuts. This makes a significant difference, as producing just one pound of sea salt through boiling can require up to two pounds of fossil fuels. Our slow evaporation process also creates a salt that is especially mineral-rich, with a slightly wild, briny flavor. In both minerality and grain size, our sea salt is similar to Celtic sea salt.”
