Meet Derek
"One of my favorite things about being a shopkeeper is the opportunity to not only meet other islanders but visitors from around the US and the world. You may not believe what I'm about to tell you, but three years ago, before I was running a shop, I considered myself an introvert who would never in a million years imagine choosing a job that would require daily face-to-face interactions. But flash forward to today (3 years later in this shopkeeping journey) and I can honestly say I've turned a new leaf and have faced my fears.
Personally, I enjoy shopping, so when I'm searching for next cool artists to join the Millstream family, I strive to find a little something for everyone. I'm always learning as much as I can about the artist and their craft so that I can connect their works/creations with you!
Another aspect I love about being a shopkeeper is meeting the furry friends that come to visit, so if you've got a dog make sure to bring them in because we’ve got treats!
